Julia, Antratsit

Across the conflict stricken regions of Ukraine diabetes festers due to the war. The war has resulted in there being no medical support in the disputed territories. Along with the stresses the conflict brings and the struggle to provide children with a healthy diet, children are suffering with a severe lack of insulin and healthy food causing distress for single parents and families. ChildAid is working tirelessly with local volunteers to supply these children with insulin, medicine and food.

Julia is 15 years old. She lives in Antratsit and suffers with diabetes.

The city of Antratsit is not under the control of the Ukrainian Government which is causing great suffering to it's inhabitants. As poverty rages across the region, Julia's whole family have been affected by job loss, a lack of support and a halt to business in the area. With no other choice, her family contacted +ChildAid's volunteers to ensure they could have insulin for Julia.

Thanks to the donations from our followers we provided Julia with insulin, medical supplies and have provided her family with food. Our volunteers continue to supply the family in this time of need.

We are seeing more and more cases similar to Julia's family's. They were a hard-working business owners before the crisis struck. Now however, they have lost everything and are in need of continued assistance.

You can support our work in providing insulin to children in need by donating to our Eureka appeal - bit.ly/17gjRTp
