Dmitriy, Luhansk

Across the conflict stricken regions of Ukraine diabetes festers due to the war. The war has resulted in there being no medical support in the disputed territories. Along with the stresses the conflict brings and the struggle to provide children with a healthy diet, children are suffering with a severe lack of insulin and healthy food causing distress for single parents and families. ChildAid is working tirelessly with local volunteers to supply these children with insulin, medicine and food.

Dmitriy Tsymbal received medicines for his daughter Dasha.

The father of one is externally grateful for this help. For him, the level of help provided was unexpected as he only expected insulin, not the additional medicine provided. Thanks to our local volunteers and generous donors were were able to provide Dasha with needles, test strips and additional enzymes.

Though the financial situation in the family is unstable, Dasha now feels better because of your support.

Volunteers continue to visit the home. However this incredible work would not be impossible without support from our donors. As the situation worsens in Ukraine we need your support more than ever. Thank you.

Victoria, Luhansk

Across the conflict stricken regions of Ukraine diabetes festers due to the war. The war has resulted in there being no medical support in the disputed territories. Along with the stresses the conflict brings and the struggle to provide children with a healthy diet, children are suffering with a severe lack of insulin and healthy food causing distress for single parents and families. ChildAid is working tirelessly with local volunteers to supply these children with insulin, medicine and food.

Victoria is 10 years old and has been diagnosed with diabetes. She lives in Luhansk.

Victoria is the only child in a fatherless household. Her father went to work in Russia but has since disappeared. Little is known about his last whereabouts and they never received financial support from him since he left. Victoria lives alone with her mother who struggles to earn enough money to provide for her daughter.

With the help of local partners, ChildAid has been able to provide medication for maintenance therapy and regularly tests her blood for sugar levels.

Our local partners have introduced the pair to Christianity and they have both welcomed Christ into their lives and pray for their future.

Without the support from our donors, our live-saving work would not be possible. You can support our work via - http://bit.ly/18bCwjE
