Angelina, Luhansk

Across the conflict stricken regions of Ukraine diabetes festers due to the war. The war has resulted in there being no medical support in the disputed territories. Along with the stresses the conflict brings and the struggle to provide children with a healthy diet, children are suffering with a severe lack of insulin and healthy food causing distress for single parents and families. ChildAid is working tirelessly with local volunteers to supply these children with insulin, medicine and food.

Angelina is four years old. She lives in Luhansk and has diabetes.

Since birth Angelina has been disabled with an inability to walk. She receives regular therapy funded by +ChildAid supporters. Our volunteers continue to tell us that despite her hard life Angelina remains remarkably upbeat, positive and always has a smile on her face when they deliver insulin and supplies.

Thanks to the generosity of our followers we are able to supply local volunteers with the tools and resources to offer medical assistance to Angelina and spiritual assistance to her mother. In this time of adversity, Angelina's mother has often found it hard to be a single parent however she continues to do her best for Angelina.

You can support our work in providing insulin to children in need by donating to our Eureka appeal - bit.ly/17gjRTp
