Alexander, Luhansk

Across the conflict stricken regions of Ukraine diabetes festers due to the war. The war has resulted in there being no medical support in the disputed territories. Along with the stresses the conflict brings and the struggle to provide children with a healthy diet, children are suffering with a severe lack of insulin and healthy food causing distress for single parents and families. ChildAid is working tirelessly with local volunteers to supply these children with insulin, medicine and food.

Alexander is just one of many children suffering from diabetes and lacking adequate medicines for his condition.

With medical resources running scare, Alexander's doctors prescribed him with the wrong medicine, causing is blood sugar to raise too high. This improper treatment left him with growing hunger and thirst. Luckily, our volunteers were able to supply Alexander with the medicines that suited his condition. He began to feel better the very next day as his mother praised God for such a timely gift. Our volunteers spent the night with the family and remarked they could see a difference in Alexander even the next day.

Alexander's parents can not find employment due to the conflict in the disputed area and are therefore also in need of food and clothing. Thanks to the donations from our followers we provided our volunteers with the supplies and resources to supply Alexander's family and many more like is with the much needed necessities. You can support our work in providing insulin to children in need by donating to our Eureka appeal - bit.ly/17gjRTp

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
